The News: Zaid Hamid bidding for Musharraf says Umar Cheema. September 30,2012

ISLAMABAD: Chief of Army Staff Gen Ashfaq Pervaiz Kayani had echoed the same line on the killing of Nawab Akbar Bugti in a special cabinet meeting on Balochistan as has been taken in the petition of Zaid Hamid, a self-styled security analyst known for close links with the military establishment.

Army’s media wing, Inter Services Public Relations (ISPR), was not available for comments. A special committee’s meeting held on May 29 was attended by Gen Kayani, DG ISI Lt. Gen Zahir-ul-Islam, IG FC Balochistan Maj Gen Ubaidullah Khattack, Senator Raza Rabbani and two ministers from Balochistan after the Supreme Court had pushed the government into taking appropriate measures about the restive province. The then Prime Minister Yusuf Raza Gilani presided over the said meeting.

According to the sources privy to details, Gen. Kayani, for the first time, spoke in detail about Akbar Bugti’s killing and the speculation surrounding his mysterious death. Gen Kayani intervened when a civilian participant held the army and the intelligence agencies under its command responsible for committing the murder.

The Army chief said he was ready to provide the details of the khaki officers who went inside the cave so that those accusing the army must ascertain from their areas and hometowns whether or not they were killed there on that date. Had the army wanted to murder Akbar Bugti, Gen Kayani argued, five officers would not have been sent inside at any cost.

They had entered into the cave as Bugti invited them, pretending that he wanted to negotiate. He also asked for independent investigation into the murder mystery to clear the dust, officials privy to the discussion later told The News.

Incidentally, Gen Pervaiz Musharraf, Kayani’s predecessor under whose watch the murder occurred, echoed the same line in a recent Geo TV programme ‘Awam ki Adalat’ hosted by Iftikhar Ahmad. As he was blamed of this murder, Musharraf told the host that it was mere allegation and explained the operational strategies that won’t allow the officers to enter the premises if the purpose was to kill somebody. He also called for a fair investigation into the matter. Zaid Hamid’s connection with the military establishment is an open secret. A few days ago, a delegation of his ‘think-tank’ Brass Tacks went to Turkey in the company of a military delegation along with the officials of Pak-Turk Institute.

Incidentally, the petition filed through time-tested friend of khakis, Raja Irshad advocate, echoed the same line taken by Gen. Kayani and his predecessor. Irshad represented ISI in different cases other than army-led FC Balochistan. This shows the military leadership’s desire to clear its name of the murder allegations through demanding judicial inquiry into the matter, according to analysts. The petitioner contends that a team of five Special Forces commandos were invited by late Bugti into his cave to settle terms of surrender but once the officers entered the cave, he triggered an explosive device which brought down the entire cave, killing Bugti and the SSG men. “He committed suicide and also murdered the army officers,” the petition reads.

The petition added that Bugti had desired to meet the army officers in the cave before he could hand over his custody to the law enforcement agencies. There was no doubt, it is said, that the late Nawab was going to be lodged in a room exclusively arranged for him in the Governor’s House in Quetta. Pervaiz Musharraf has been made one of the respondents in the petition. As demanded by Musharraf, the petition had also sought investigation through a judicial commission comprising serving and retired judges.

Zaid Hamid and TTP: Two sides of the same coin

Zaid Hamid and Yousaf Kazzab share certain attributes which are universal among all cults. The Tehreek e Taliban Pakistan (TTP) is a cult no different from that of Zaid Hamid’s. There are many similarities between the two, and an understanding of them is important in order to estimate the danger Zaid Hamid poses to Pakistan. Understanding Zaid Hamid will also help understand the TTP so that an effective counter terrorism strategy can be developed.

Zaid Hamid just like the TTP believes that he is on a divine mission, hence all those opposing him are enemies of the Prophet (saaw) and blasphemers. They deserve limitless punishment and eternal damnation is their fate. Since TTP has suicide bombers and armed militants, the fate of their enemies is much more gruesome.

Here Zaid Hamid declares Imtiaz Alam and SAFMA enemies of Rasool Allah (saaw) because they sent him a defamation notice.

Zaid Hamid on the other hand harasses the “enemies of RasulAllah” by cyber bullying. Many prominent journalists and intellectuals including Fasi Zaka, Hamid Mir, Hafiz Tahir Mahmood Ashrafi, Marvi Sirmed, Khushnood Ali khan, Najam Sethi and many more have been victims of his vicious cyber harassment. Zaid Hamid has on occasions used physical force as well. On many occasions students were badly beaten up during his programs who asked the wrong questions from him.

This is a video of Zaid Hamid defending the beating of a student who dared to ask him a question.

This is another video where senior journalist Nusrat Javed talks about another incident where thugs of Zaid Hamid started beating students when they asked a question.

Not just liberal intellectuals, TTP and Zaid Hamid also share a passionate hatred for any religious scholar who questions of them. Irrespective of school of thought, the TTP has killed hundreds of scholars like Maulana Hassan Jan, Maulvi Noor Muhammad, Mufti Sarfarz Naeemi. Zaid Hamid on the other hand calls these scholars CIA, RAW and Mossad agent or congressi Khariji. Zaid Hamid is named as the suspect in the FIR for the murder of Maulana Saeed Ahmed Jalalpuri Shaheed, a known critic who first exposed his links with the false prophet Yousaf Kazzab. Zaid Hamid also started a cyber campaign against a beralwi scholar, Mufti Ghulam Sarwar Qadri who condemned him.

Another similarity is that the TTP and Zaid Hamid both use the same techniques to put their message across. Both use Youtube propaganda videos as the main recruitment tool. If studied deeply it would be revealed to any one with a little background in psychology that both Zaid Hamid and TTP use covert hypnosis to create a cult like following. While the TTP uses those who fall in its influence as cheap canon fodder, Zaid Hamid uses them as free labor to build his internet image.

TTP and Zaid Hamid both call Pakistan’s democratic system and its constitution as kufr. They call the Judiciary kufr and reject the legitimacy of any democratically elected government. They both call for unconstitutional means to overthrow the state. While the TTP builds up its own militia for an illegitimate overthrow of the state, Zaid Hamid wants to used the Army for this purpose ( similar to Hizb ut Tahrir).

Here Zaid Hamid talks about it.

Zaid Hamid and TTP both seem to share a similar passion about Ghazwa e Hind and Army of Khurasan being prepared to help the Mahdi. TTP calls it self the Army of Khurassan while Zaid Hamid portrays himself as the leader of Ghazwa e Hind. On many occasions Zaid Hamid has also promoted the Mahdian Army from khurassan prophecies. Being the claimants to fulfilling prophecies is another hall mark of cults which both TTP and Zaid Hamid share.

Zaid Hamid express the same ideas about khurassan as TTP

Zaid Hamid portrays himself as the leader of Ghazwa e Hind.

To conclude, both TTP and Zaid Hamid have the same thinking, both are cults which aim to cease absolute power. Both have no regard for human life or democratic values and are extremely intolerant of critical voices. Zaid Hamid’s views help promote TTP’s thought. Both are a menace to the Pakistani society and are cults which have nothing to do with Islam. Zaid Hamid is a blasphemer of Prophet Muhammad (saaw) because he potrays himself self as the reincarnation of RasulAllah (saaw) to fight the Ghazwa e Hind. While the TTP commits blasphemy by claming that only its personal dictatorship is divine Law or Shariah.

Thus the entire nation must rise up against this Fitna. The struggle against TTP can not succeed without winning the fight against Zaid Hamid because they are two sides of the same coin. We will win this battle only by our devotion to the Khatam un Nabiyeen (saaw) and by firm belief in the Finality of Prophet Muhammad (saaw) which will enable us to remain stead fast while facing this Fitna.

Zaid Hamid is a fake Syed. Syed is not part of his father’s name.

These are copies of Zaid Hamid’s divorce papers.  “Syed” is not written with his father’s name, which proves that Zaid Hamid’s father is not a syed. Since his Father is not syed then surely his family is not a Syed Family.

This is an eyewitness account of Talha Saad which he shared in 2010. The title Is Zaid Hamid a Fake Syed?

Reproducing the note in verbatrim

Yesterday I put up a status for 5 min which said that, my nana who was a course mate of Zaid Hamid’s father in PMA told me two things:

1. That Zaid Hamid’s father, Major Mahmud uz Zaman Hamid, did not retire a colonel as Zaid Hamid claims but as a Major.
2. That Syed is not a part of Major Mahmud uz Zaman Hamid. He started calling himself Syed latter in his military career.

I removed this status with in 5 minutes as my nana was very sick and he had shown me no proofs in this regard. I feared that I might not have understood him properly.

Today I visited him again and asked for some proofs considering this matter. He gave me a frame with a long list of names. He told me that this was the list of people complied on 50th anniversary of the 1st batch of the PMA, and that it contained the official name of all the personal of that course and the rank to which they retired. The frame was entitled:
“ 4th Feb 2000” 1st PMA Course 20th Jan 1948 to 04th Feb 1950”

It was arranged according to merit i.e. the person who topped was first on the list. The first name on the list was Maj Aziz Bhatti Shaheed. I skimmed down and saw my nanas name on the 15 position. On the 8th last position the name “ Maj Mahmud uz Zaman Hamid” was written.
My nana asked me that is there a Colonel written before his name I said no. Than he asked me that is Syed written before his name, I again replied in the negative. He told me that Maj Mahmud uz Zaman used to tell them stories of his royal decent in PMA and no one took him seriously.
One thing is clear that Maj Mahmud uz Zaman Hamid retired a Major and than added colonel to his name, a rank to which he did not retire. However can Zaid Hamid clarify as to why there is no ‘Syed’ in his fathers name while he builds his political base by claiming to be a Syed.
I have taken a picture of that frame, which I am sure Zaid Hamid must have as well. I do not have a data cable other wise I would have uploaded it. Inshallah ill give it to Chishti or some other friend tomorrow to upload it.

Talha Saad

3 years have passed since this article and yet Zaid Hamid has not responded to these claims. Over the years we have confirmed from multiple sources that Zaid Hamid is not a Syed but a Malik Bihari.

All false prophets and kazzabs have a tradition of calling them selves Syed. Zaid Hamid is true to this tradition. His mentor Yousaf Kazzab also was a fake Syed.

More Proof

Zaid Hamid’s NIC shows his father’s name as Mahmood uz Zaman Hamid. No Syed with his name.

Mahmood uz Zaman Hamid’s NIC shows his father’s (Zaid Hamid’s grandfather) name as M.A Hamid.
