Asif Shiraz: A dialogue with Brasstacks and zaidhamidexposition regarding Zaid Hamid and Yousuf Kazzab

We appreciate the sincerity with which Asif Shiraz , an ex-Brasstacks member, has come out and laid down the points in the form of dialogue with Brasstacka & zaidhamidexpositiond and also other Muslim Ummah to explain the matter. Though, as per the advice given by Asif Shiraz, we very much agree on ONE point in this regard, that Yousuf was Kazzab, and Zaid Hamid has to clear himself of it as soon as possible. There is no running away methods available now.

As for the ‘Tasuwwaf’ Talk, we’ll Insha’Allah cater it later in some other post. But as you yourself have explained, that it was Yousuf Kazzab who crossed the ‘red flag‘ himself which has made things very apparent to the Ulama as well as others Mureed who later repented and became witnesses against him, that he misused ‘Tasuwwaf’ to claim himself Prophet (Naozubillah), which is very much clear in his personal dairy which was produced as evidence against him in the court as well, is the thing we can’t let go.

As you have put the advice in a very pleasant way, not only us but the Ulama of Khatm-e-Nabuwwat before us as well, specifically Shaheed-e-Khatm-e-Nabuwwat Maulana Jalalpuri Shaheed (Rahimu’Allah) has advised Zaid Hamid in his two great works “Rahbar kay Roop main Rahzan” and “Poori Pakistani Baradari Jhooti Ya Akela Zaid Zaman Hamid” showing his greatness by his manners and Ikhlaq with which he conveyed the message. Also, I think one can also imagine what the immediate relatives effort would have been to explaining this issue to Zaid Hamid.

Time is running away from him, and we are not left with any options as well other than to stand firm and stay steadfast.

Note: Some of videos have been temporarily removed after assurances from BrassTacks team that they will come out openly in the public about Zaid Hamid’s association with Yousaf Kazzab and explain all the details about it, and either declare him kazzab and his disociation with him, or else bring multiple, credible, renowned scholars who will themselves say that yousaf was not a kazzab.

Update: The videos embedded above were taken offline by Asif Shiraz.

Etiquette of the seeker of knowledge

Our beloved Prophet Muhammad (sallallahu ‘alayhi wassallam) was sent to perfect morals and manners. In fact, all the Prophets before us practiced good mannerism. Many times, it is sad to see those who call themselves Muslims acting differently than everyone else.

We have been daily receiving comments and it is very sad to see that most of these comment seem to have lost a very important and salient feature of a believer, which is Good Manners and Good Character. The earlier generation of Sahaba and Salaf (pious predecessors) used to lay great importance to manners and adab. But, today it seems that our generation seems to have lost it. Just a difference of opinion or lack of support for an individual, organization can lead them end up fighting like animals; even in this regard animals might feel proud of themselves, because the manners they show during their arguments in their language, they would consider themselves better than those who during debate go par below animal level and don’t realize of it.

Narrated ‘Abdullah bin ‘Amr: “The Prophet never used bad language neither a ‘Fahish nor a Mutafahish. He used to say ‘The best amongst you are those who have the best manners and character.’
[Sahih Bukhari, Volume 4, Book 56, Number 759]

It is the hypocrites that use foul language.

Narrated ‘Abdullah bin ‘Amr: “The Prophet said, “Whoever has the following four (characteristics) will be a pure hypocrite and whoever has one of the following four characteristics will have one characteristic of hypocrisy unless and until he gives it up.

1. Whenever he is entrusted, he betrays.
2. Whenever he speaks, he tells a lie.
3. Whenever he makes a covenant, he proves treacherous.
4. Whenever he quarrels, he behaves in a very imprudent, evil and insulting manner.
[Sahih Bukhari, Volume 1, Book 2, Number 33]

Allah (Azza wal Jall) says in the Holy Quran

“And turn not your face away from men with pride, nor walk in insolence through the earth. Verily, Allah likes not any arrogant boaster. [Quran, 31:18]

Insolence, or arrogance, or undue elation at our powers or capacities, is the first step to many evils.  Besides, it is unjustified.  All our gifts are from Allah Almighty. Thus, get rid of these diseases; lest it get rids of you.

Thus, seeing that importance of argument, I’d like everyone to read this and learn manners and etiquette to seek the truth and knowledge, even if someone has difference of opinion in some matter, he should maintain manners.

In conclusion, we ask those who comment on our blog to pay attention to this, because we now will not tolerate any comments that will be void of manners and adab. For further read the blog rules.

It is better to start practicing the use of words like “You think that this is not good…”, “In your humble opinion, we should…”, instead of “This is all lying and crap”, “You this and that”, etc. Also, when you speak about Scholars, speak with respect. No insulting or bashing of scholars with words like “Maulvis” and “Mullas” will be tolerated now, nor will any sort of arrogance, attitude, and sarcasm be tolerated towards Islam, Muslims and Scholars. If you want to disagree or have an argument, use manners to convey your point of view. If you don’t follow, don’t be surprised if your comments don’t make it on our blog for violating the blog rules.

Ibn al-Qayyim (Rahimu’Allah) said the following regarding manners

“…Manners have limits. When these limits are crossed, this is transgression. When they are fallen short of, this is deficiency and disgrace.

Below to educate you regarding the etiquette the seeker of knowledge should adopt. Though the below advice is for the seeker of knowledge in Deen, but we can very well consider this in our case as well, in finding the truth with sincerity and turn to Allah (Azza wal Jall) to guide us.

Question:
Allaah has blessed me by causing me to seek knowledge. What is the etiquette which you advise me to follow?

Answer:

Praise be to Allaah.

There is a certain amount of etiquette for seeking knowledge which the seeker of knowledge should follow. We will give you this advice and this etiquette for seeking knowledge; may Allaah cause you to benefit thereby.

1 – Patience

My dear brother, seeking knowledge is one of the highest of pursuits, and heights cannot be scaled except by working hard and stribing. Abu Tamaam said, addressing himself:

“Let me scale the heights that cannot be scaled, for reaching high things is difficult whilst reaching low things is easy.

You want to scale the heights without any effort, but honey cannot be gathered without beestings.”

Another poet said:

“You seek to attain glory, and those who seek to attain glory

Strive their utmost and roll up their sleeves for that purpose.

They strive hard but most of them become tired.

But those who have patience and perseverance attain the heights of the glory that they desired.

Do not think that attaining glory is as easy as eating dates;

You cannot attain glory until you swallow the bitterest medicine.”

So be patient and persevere. If jihaad requires an hour of patience, then the seeker of knowledge must be patient until the end of his life. Allaah says (interpretation of the meaning)

“O you who believe! Endure and be more patient (than your enemy), and guard your territory by stationing army units permanently at the places from where the enemy can attack you, and fear Allâh, so that you may be successful.”

[Aal ‘Imraan 3:200]

2 – Purity of intention in action

Adhere to purity of intention in what you do. Let your aim be to seek the Face of Allaah (i.e., the pleasure of Allaah) and the Home of the Hereafter. Beware of showing off and the love of making oneself appear to be superior to one’s peers. The Messenger of Allaah (peace and blessings of Allaah be upon him) said: “Whoever seeks knowledge in order to compete with the scholars or to prove himself superior to the ignorant or to make the people look up to him, Allaah will cause him to enter Hell.” (narrated by al-Nasaa’i, 2654; classed as saheeh by al-Albaani in Saheeh al-Nasaa’i).

To sum up, you have to be pure both outwardly and inwardly from every major and minor sin.

3 – Acting upon what you know

Know that acting upon what you know is the fruit of knowledge. Whoever knows but does not act upon his knowledge is like the Jews whom Allaah likened to the ugliest things in His Book, when He said (interpretation of the meaning):

“The likeness of those who were entrusted with the (obligation of the) Tawraat (Torah) (i.e. to obey its commandments and to practise its laws), but who subsequently failed in those (obligations), is as the likeness of a donkey which carries huge burdens of books (but understands nothing from them). How bad is the example of people who deny the Ayaat (proofs, evidences, verses, signs, revelations, etc.) of Allaah. And Allaah guides not the people who are Zaalimoon (polytheists, wrongdoers, disbelievers)”

[al-Jumu’ah 62:5]

And whoever acts without knowledge is like the Christians, who are the “daalleen (those who have gone astray)” mentioned in Soorat al-Faatihah. With regard to the books which you should study, they are mentioned in Question # 20191; please refer to this Question as it is important.

4 – Always being aware that Allaah is watching

You must always be aware that Allaah is watching you, in secret and in the open. Your attitude towards your Lord must always be balanced between fear and hope, which for the Muslims are like the two wings of a bird. Turn to Allaah wholeheartedly and let your heart be filled with love for Him, your tongue with remembrance of Him (dhikr). Be happy and rejoice in His rulings and His wisdom.

Always call upon Allaah (du’aa’) in every sujood, asking Him to bless you and grant you beneficial knowledge, for if you are sincere towards Allaah, He will support you and help you, and will cause you to attain the level of the righteous scholars.

5 – Make the best use of time

Make the most of your youth and your whole life by learning. Do not be deceived by procrastination and wishful thinking about the future. Every hour of your life that passes cannot be replaced. Do away with whatever you can of distractions and obstacles which prevent you from striving your utmost to attain knowledge. Hence the salaf encouraged keeping away from one’s family and keeping a distance from one’s homeland, because when a person is distracted he will not be able to understand facts of knowledge and subtle issues. Allaah has not given man two hearts in his chest, and similarly it is said that knowledge will not give you a part of it until you give it your all.

6 – Be cautious

Beware of being preoccupied in the beginning with the disputes among the scholars, or among people in general, because this confuses the mind. Also beware of musannafaat , because they will waste your time and make you confused. Instead, give your all to the book which you are reading or the topic which you are studying until you become competent in it. Beware of moving from one book to another (before completing the former), for that is a sign of boredom and failure. You must pay attention to each branch of knowledge, in order of importance.

7 – Precision and focus

Strive to verify that which you want to memorize so that you are certain of it, either from a shaykh or from someone else who can help you. Then memorize it properly and continually repeat it and review at specific times each day, lest you forget what you have memorized.

8 – Studying books

After you have memorized the summarized books properly, with their commentaries, and you have understood any difficult passages in them and understood the important points, then move on to studying the detailed versions, always reviewing what you have learned and noting the valuable points, subtle issues, strange minor issues, solutions to problems and differences between similar rulings, in all branches of knowledge. Do not think little of anything useful that you learn or any basic principle that you understand; instead, hasten to note and memorize it.

Let your concern to seek knowledge be uppermost; do not be content to learn only a little when you are able to do more. Do not be content with a little of the legacy of the Prophets (may the blessings of Allaah be upon them), and do not delay learning anything that you can, or be distracted or put off by wishful thinking. Delay is a problem, and if you learn something now you can learn something else later.

Make the most of your time, when you are free and when you are busy. Make the most of your youth when your mind is fresh and you have less distractions, before you become distracted by false ambitions and the desire for worldly possessions.

You should try to obtain as many of the books you need as you can, because they are the tools of learning. Do not make getting and keeping a lot of them (without benefiting from them) the only share of knowledge that you have, and collecting them the only share of understanding that you have. You also have to use and benefit from them as much as you can.

9 – Choosing companions

Strive to choose righteous friends who are preoccupied with seeking knowledge and are of a good nature, who can help you in achieving your aim, add to the benefits you have already gained, encourage you to seek more knowledge and stop you from feeling bored and tired; friends who are religiously-committed, trustworthy and of good character, who are sincere towards Allaah and who are not merely messing about. (See Tadhkirat al-Saami’ by Ibn Jamaa’aah).

Beware of the bad companion, for he may influence you and people are like birds, they will resemble one another [i.e., “birds of a feather flock together”]. So beware of mixing with people like that, for that is a sickness, and prevention is better than cure.

10 – Finally, good manners towards the shaykh

Knowledge cannot be gained only from books; you must also have a shaykh whom you trust to open the door to knowledge and keep you from making mistakes. So you must have good manners towards him, for this is the way to success, learning and strength. So you must honour, respect and be polite to the shaykh. Observe the utmost standards of etiquette when you sit with your shaykh and speak with him. Ask questions in a proper manner and listen attentively. Be polite when studying the book with him and do not try to argue with him or compete with him. Do not initiate conversation with him or walk ahead of him or speak too much in his presence, or interrupt him or interrupt him when he is teaching. Do not pressurize him to give you an answer, and avoid asking him too many questions, especially in front of other people, for this will make you appear to be showing off and make him bored with you. Do not call him directly by his name or nickname; rather say “O my shaykh” or “O our shaykh” (Yaa shaykhi or Yaa shaykhunaa)

If you think that the shaykh has made a mistake, do not let that make him lose respect in your eyes, because that will deprive you of his knowledge. Who is there who is entirely free from error? See Hilyat Taalib al-‘Ilm by Shaykh Bakr Abu Zayd

We ask Allaah to make you and us strong and steadfast, and to let us see the day when you will become one of the scholars of the Muslims and an authority in the religion of Allaah and one of the imaams of the pious. Ameen, ameen.. We hope to meet soon, and peace be upon you.

Fatwa: Situations in which gheebah (backbiting) is permitted

We’ve been receiving continuous comments telling us to stop doing all this propaganda and doing backbiting as it is not allowed in Shari’ah. Thus, I think it is necessary to clear them that what are the situations in which gheebah(backbiting) is permitted, and Yousuf Kazzab and cult very well fulfills most of it that we’ll mention below. We hope that this will clear the things as an advice from our side. Insha’Allah. It is unfortunate now that most of the Ziad Hamid fan-club, though claim to work on mission of Khilafah, but are very weak when it really comes to Shari’ah and it’s rulings.

Q: What are the situations in which gheebah (backbiting or talking about others in their absence) is permitted?
A:

Praise be to Allaah.
The scholars have stated that gheebah is permitted in certain situations:

1-

Complaining. It is permissible for the one who has been wronged to complain to the ruler or judge and others who have the authority or ability to settle the score with the one who wronged him.

2-

Seeking help to change evil and bring the sinner back to the right path, so he may say to the one who he hopes is able to do something: “So and so is doing such and such; tell him not to do it.”

3-

Seeking advice or a fatwa, by saying to the mufti, “So and so/my father/my brother has wronged me by doing such and such, does he have the right to do that? How can I solve this problem and ward off his harm from me?”

4-

Warning the Muslims of someone’s evil, such as highlighting the weakness of some reporters or witnesses or authors. That also includes seeing someone buying faulty goods, or someone keeping company with one who is a thief or adulterer, or giving a female relative of his to such a man in marriage, and the like. You should tell them about that by way of sincere advice, not with the aim of causing harm and spreading mischief.

5-

If a person openly commits evil or follows bid’ah, such as drinking alcohol and seizing people’s wealth unlawfully, it is permissible to speak of what he is doing openly, but it is not permissible to speak against him any other way, unless it is for another reason.

6-

For identification, if someone is known by a nickname such as the dim-sighted one, or the blind man or the one-eyed or the lame one, it is permissible to identify him as such, but it is haraam to mention that by way of belittling him, and if it is possible to identify him in some other way, that is better.

It says in Fataawa al-Lajnah al-Daa’imah li’l-Ifta (26/20): Speaking about a person in his absence is permissible in certain situations as indicated by shar’i evidence, if there is a need for that, such as if someone consults you about arranging a marriage to him, or entering into a business partnership with him, or if someone complains to the authorities to put a stop to his wrongdoing. In that case there is nothing wrong with saying things about him that he may not like to be said, because there is an interest to be served by that. One of the scholars summed up in two lines of poetry the situations in which it is permissible to talk about a person in his absence, and said:

Criticizing is not gheebah in six (cases) – complaining, identifying, warning, When the person is committing evil openly, when advice is sought, and when one is asking for help in removing an evil.

End quote.

And Allaah knows best.

Open Letter to Zaid Hamid from his ex-fan

Open Letter to Zaid Hamid from his ex-fan
Brother in Islam
-May Allah Reward Him-

Open Letter:
Open letter to Zaid Zaman from the one who love Allah (سبحانه و تعالى) and Prophet Muhammad (صلى الله عليه و سلم) more than his own life or anything else Insha’Allah.

I am million times thankful to Allah (سبحانه و تعالى) who show me the guidance and brought me to the light. I was big fan of yours days back when you use to talk about economic conspiracy theories , when you use to talk about Hazrat Khalid Bin Walid (Radi Allah Anhu) and other great Mujahedeen and warriors of Islam. You play with minds and you know very well that this innocent nation of Pakistan who are hun-gry for some good and perfect Muslim to come and lead them. So the worst thing you did that you use Islam and names of great Islamic heroes as cover for your agenda, in the same way Peer use Islam to rob their mureeds, just like Hindus Brahmin use their idols to rob people and their Emaan. Using Islam as cover is not a new phenomena. This was the tactic of Mirza Qadyani too who used Islamic debates with Christians and defeating them harshly before unleashing his Shytanic Agenda. It is not a surprising thing that many intellectuals and well-educated people are his followers. Allah (سبحانه و تعالى) send people astray to whom He likes. It is will of Allah (سبحانه و تعالى) and He punishes people for their lies, and sinful and unjust attitude. He punishes people for their staying away from Quran and Hadith and taking these books for granted and book as if for backward and old fashioned conservative people.

You knew that we love our country Pakistan and you exploited our love for Pakistan. But you forget that I and many of us love Islam and Prophet Muhammad (صلى الله عليه و سلم) more than anything else. Pakistan was made in the name of Islam and for the establishment of Shariyat of Muhammad (صلى الله عليه و سلم). It is not possible that a person who is die-hard supporter of Yousaf Kazzab can be at the same time be sincere to Islamic Republic of Pakistan.

Then came a time for me to say good bye to you. Initially I was hesitant to leave you because you had acquired enough of my trust in the name of Islam and Mujahideens. I always thought that you are right. But when I came to know very well beyond doubt that you had a relationship with Yousaf Kazab of very spiritual and shytanic one , it was the time to say Good bye to you and not only good bye but stand against you. Your whole episodes on brasstacks , efforts and tactics go to hell and I don’t care for your rehtoric and deceptive efforts for Islam and Pakistan as a cover. For me comes the love and respect of Prophet Muhammad (صلى الله عليه و سلم) first. If there is no Islam and no love and respect for Prophet Muhammad (صلى الله عليه و سلم), mark by words there will no Pakistan. Our ancestors gave life for real Islam and not so called the modern Islam you want to teach us which is actually Kazabism.

I still remember you are same person who always supported Pervaiz Musharaf till the end. Pervaiz Musharaf the same man who was trying desperately to change the laws regarding finality of Prophet Muhammad (صلى الله عليه و سلم) as a Prophet, to give protection to Qadyanis. Where was your love for Prophet Muhammad (صلى الله عليه و سلم) that time. Did not your blood boiled in anger on what Musharaf was upto that time to please Zionist. It was Moulana Shaheed Saeed Jalapuri (Rahimu’Allah) and his team who showed their real love for Prophet Muhammad (صلى الله عليه و سلم) by standing against the shytanic moves by Pervaiz Musharaf and that is why you abused these scholars as Jahil , to takay kay molvi bla bla…

Then you were the same person who was speaking against the restoration of Chief Justice by fabricating strange stories. You were the same person who said that it is better to lock Dr. Abdul Qadir Khan else he will speak against Pakistan in anger.

You totally supported Pervaiz Mushraf for his massacre of Red mosque students.

After leaving your so called Russian Jihad you started abusing all Mujahideen leaders and joined Ahmad Shah Mehsood who stood against Mullah Muhammad Umer Mujahid (May Allah protect him). Now Northern Alliance of Ahmad Shah Mehsood is army of NATO. This reveals that you were not fighting for Islam during Russian Jihad but for America and his agenda.

You spoke millions lies. You speak lie on Dr Israr Ahmad. You lied that you had no relation with Yousaf Kazzab. You are still lying that Yousaf Kazzab did not commit any sin when you are aware of all facts down to your bottom of your heart. Instead you started calling others as liar. What the hell with you. You think we are idiots and you are smartest of all.

You spoke lie on Moulana Ashrafi that he stands with you and He spoke lie that Mufti Gulam Serwar stand with you. They all are against you and call you LIAR and Dajjal.

See what Allah (سبحانه و تعالى)  says about liars in Quran

“Cursed be on the liars.” (Adh-Dhariyat: 10)

Mujahid do not lie.

Then in your shows I saw by my own eyes that young girls and boys were holding their hands. Is this Islam? I remember you were blaming Taliban Mujahedeen that they are this and that but look you are exactly of the nature to whom you were blaming as begerat bla bla..Now tell me who is real begerat if you are sincere.

Do not point fingers on other when you yourself do this crime.

Have you ever seen any single Mujahedeen talking to fashion designers, or non-Mehram females and doing gossips. It is all Haram in Islam.

In the end I will finish my letter to tell 2 options to Zaid Hamid.

1) To make a Tuaba, curse Yousaf Kazab openly and adopt the real Islam. Learn Islam from good Ulema Ikram like Dr. Israr Ahmad and read Quran and Hadith by yourself.
2) Go to hell along with your followers.

Editor’s Note:
This is an Open Letter submitted by an ex-fan of Zaid Hamid to zaidhamidexposition (ZHE) and is pro-duced in verbatim, with slight modifications without altering the actual meaning.

And all praise be to Allah (سبحانه و تعالى), the Lord of that exists
And may peace and blessings be upon His Prophet, Muhammad (صلى الله عليه و سلم), and upon his family, compa-nions and all others who follow him in goodness.

Zaid Hamid, a Leader in the making! Would be a nightmare

[Editor’s Note: This article was originally published on Teeth Maestro on Feb 2, 2010. The article has been written by Dr. Mohsin Ansari who knows Zaid Hamid since the college days, as both did their intermediate from Adamjee Govt. Science College Karachi.]

I moved to USA about 17 years back and hence was relatively out of touch with the developments in Pakistan. Therefore it was not only abysmal but rather surprising to see Zaid Zaman now Zaid Hamid (I am not sure what is he up to or why did he change his name) portrayed as a scholar, a defense analyst, a nationalist and may be someone who can lead our nation in the future. I think the last time I met Zaid was when he attended my wedding ceremony along with few other of his very close friends. All of his associates who attended the ceremony were the followers of a “Peer” named Yusuf. There I came to know that Zaid was not only the devotee but in essence one of the top followers of this “Peer” Mr. Yusuf, an ex army officer with quite a bit of following among youngsters. Later I came to know that this Peer was arrested as he claimed himself to be a prophet.

I met Zaid Zaman first when we went for a debate competition arranged by Pakistan Airforce in Risalpur representing Adamjee Science College. I do not want to comment much about my first impression but it was of course not very pleasant and positive. Then onwards being a debater, I visited Zaid’s academic institution the NED University frequently for different Students Union Programs. At that point Afghan jihad had a great impact on the lives of Pakistani nation. I remember all this not because it was too obvious, but in essence was too weird to too creepy to see Zaid portraying himself as a fighter in a battle field or may be dramatizing his actions as much as if he was acting in a movie scene. Hence I always felt that Zaid had some kind of mental instability. And now being a physician in USA for 17 years, we call some one demonstrating these symptoms as a Bipolar with Manic Disorder type, where one thinks himself as a redeemer, a savior and some one who possess grandiose
personality.

What made me write this letter is not that I have any thing against Zaid Zaman, but since he could be another leader in the making in Pakistan, hence I felt it to be my responsibility and obligation to let people know about him. This is the least I could do to my beloved homeland. Pakistani nation has already been deceived and betrayed repeatedly by their leaders in the past. It breaks my heart to see they end up making another disastrous mistake. And once again become victim of prevarication and fiddling. Mr. Zaid Zaman is a devotee of a liar, follower of a claimer of false prophecy and an unstable person. My dear friends this is the age of technology and multimedia resources, like a true believer do not get bitten by the same hole twice. Take your time and use all the possible resources before you start delegating some one as your leader!! Now of course it is up to every individual to decide what do they want to do!!

Another face of the ISI mouth piece and Musharraf's sympathiser – Mr Zaid Hamid

The article “Another face of the ISI mouth piece and Musharraf’s sympathiser – Mr Zaid Hamid” was first published by Abidullah Jan on his infamous website Dictatorshipwatch. Unfortunately the website was banned in Pakistan by the then Military Dictator President Musharraf.

In due course Abidullah Jan was unable to keep the site running due to unknown reasons. However, he still has an entire archive of everything that he wrote about Zaid Hamid. Abidullah Jan communicated with Zaid Hamid for around 4 years and published this entire communication on his site as well.

This article that we are publishing now published on Dictatorshipwatch on Sep 21, 2008 and was written by N. Shahrukh. It is one of the first articles that started the awareness campaign against Zaid Hamid. The article is being reproduced here in verbatim:

Another face of the ISI mouth piece and Musharraf’s sympathiser –  Mr Zaid Hamid

by N. Shahrukh

Ghalib’s verse which later became a proverb “Hain kawakib kuchh, nazar aatay hain kuchh” is true for Mr Zaid Hamid, the fiery young expert of strategic issues and Jihad who has shot to fame in a few months through a programme Brasstacks on TVone.

Yes, Zaid Hamid is really IMPRESSIVE and he is taking the simple idealistic people of Pakistan, especially youth and women by storm. Had I not known him for the last 20 years, I would, too, have been all praise for this ‘new’ bright face on the TV talking about Zionism, Muslim conquests, Afghan Jihad, good and bad Talibans, and what not through his self-sponsored TV programme.

Just a REMINDER and WARNING to all my friends who trust my words:

If you guys remember the Pakistan false prophet, YUSUF ALI, who was arrested and sentenced to death by the Lahore High Court and then murdered in Kot Lakhpat jail by a fellow prisoner – this guy Zaid Hamid was known as Zaid Zaman at that time and was the Khalifah of that Kazzab. Zaid is still leading that cult which belongs to the firqah batinyah of sufism and they have a different aqeedah altogother which they only profess within their inner core. Many of my personal friends fell prey to his charisma in the 1990s, some of them reverted back to Hidayah and were instrumental in filing a case against Yusuf Ali which ultimately lead to his death sentence and the cult members dispersed for a few years.

All of the followers of Yusuf Kazzab are now gathering once again in Islamabad and after 11 years Zaid Zaman has reappeared as Zaid Hamid.

I first came to know about Zaid Hamid when he acted as a translator to Hekmatyar in 1989 during his visit to Karachi. I was really impressed by the bright faced young engineer from NED University who spoke excellent Persian, Pashto, Urdu and English. Later, I came to know that the training centre for Pakistani mujahideen in Posta Fez, Jalalabad was run by this man.

I soon got introduced to new friends who were part of his team in Afghanistan. I even tried to run away from home in 1991 at the age of 14 to go to Afghanistan but was some how caught and persuaded by my family to refrain. In the same year I distributed several cassettes of a documentary – Qasasul Jihad – produced by Zaid Zaman, which showed live scenes of combat between Afghan mujahideen and Russian forces and was the first of its kind. For me Zaid Zaman and his team were like the re-incarnation of the heroes of Muslim medieval history.

However, soon Zaid Zaman was the centre of a scandal of misappropriation of funds of a large UK-based NGO, Muslim Aid, of which he was a representative in Pakistan and Afghanistan. He also then parted ways with Hekmatyar and Haqqani and joined the ranks of Ahmed Shah Masood. Later he abandoned Jihad altogether and became a Sufi.

In 1994, when I was in aitikaf in Ramazan, one of Zaman’s close associates, who was also a very close friend of mine, came to meet me and started talking strangely about the “real” meanings of Islam denouncing each and every known Islamic scholar. He said that all translations and commentaries of Quran till date were blasphemous. He also said that every century has an ‘Imam-e-zamana’ who we should take bayah (oath of allegiance) of and he would soon arrange my meeting with that Imam.

Alhamdulillah, because of my strong beliefs I never ever met that so-called Imam-e-zamana but many of my friends fell into the trap. Soon, Yusuf Ali was being invited to dinner parties in many of my friends’ homes who were seen holding beads (tasbeeh) in their hands and preaching zikr and sufism here and there.

I lost many of my closest friends as I felt very uneasy with their beliefs and discussions. The basis of their belief was a ‘maudhu’ hadith that Allah (SWT) created the noor of Muhammad (SAW) before the creation of the Universe. That ‘noor’ will remain till eternity and even if the Prophet (SAW) is physically not with us today, his noor is present in the ‘Imam-e-zamana’ and hence he should be followed as the Prophet (SAW) was by his companions. Na’aauzubillah!

Meanwhile, Muhammad Tahir of Weekly Takbeer broke the news of Yusuf Ali and his cult quoting statements of some of the defectors who realized what was wrong and were ready to go to court against this fitnah. Yusuf Ali was accused of claiming to be a false prophet, immoral practices including sexual abuse of his women followers and homosexuality. Soon, a case was filed against him and the Tahaffuz Khatme Nabuwwat people also became a party.

Yusuf Ali was sentence and sentenced to death based on irrefutable evidence of his misguided beliefs including the claim of false prophethood.

The Tahaffuz-e-Khatm-e-Nabuwwat office at Numaish, MA Jinnah Road and journalist Muhammad Tahir still has the record of that case and clippings of related news reports containing statements of witnesses who were once part of the cult themselves.

The name of Zaid Zaman Hamid also appeared in several of the news reports appearing in those days in Takbeer, Ummat, Khabrain, Jasarat, etc as he was the key promoter and khalifa of Yusuf Kazzab and the witnesses during the court proceedings and the press statements mentioned his name.

According to my knowledge, Zaid Hamid is still leading that cult in Islamabad and sources close to him confirm that he still proclaims the same beliefs of Yusuf Kazzab. It is not confirmed, tough, whether the new “Imam-e-zamana” is Zaid Zaman himself or some other person.

If you want to warn your friends and family from this fitnah, please spread this message to everyone you know.

May Allah (SWT) guide us all to the right path. Ameen.</b>

Shaykh Abu Muhammad al-Maqdisi – The Fitnah of Antichrist is attached to religion

I came across this piece of writing by Shaykh Abu Muhammad al-Maqdisi, and going through it, I find it very relevant to the current fitna we have in hand. Thus, as an advice, I share this with you, to make yourself understand, how using the name of Islam – the forces of evil – are conspiring against the ideology of Islaam , and distorting it to make us go astray and how important is it for us now to understand Islaam and go back to Quran and Sunnah to avoid these fitnah(trials).

May Allah (Ta’ala) keep us all save from these fitnah.

And another hadith states, before Doomsday there will be multiple deceivers (in Islamic matters). According to Saheeh al-Bukhary (the book comprising all correct hadiths of the Prophet compiled by al-Bukhary), Abdullah bin-Umar, may Allah be pleased with them, said, “The Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings are upon him, stood among people, then he praised Allah with what He is Worthy of, then he mentioned the Antichrist and said, ‘I warn you against him, and there is no messenger who has not warned his people against him’; and among the prudence that made all the prophets warning against the fitnah of Antichrist, although he will appear near the end of the worldly life, is that the type of his fitnah is present at all times, as what the Sheikh (Islamic scholar ‘bin-Taimya’) of Islam said…

The fitnah of the Antichrist is attached to religion and it hides within it. He comes and with him comes a paradise and a hellfire. And on his forehead the mark of the infidel it is written, and the Mu’meneen (Believers in Allah) can see it, and none other than them can. The Mu’men with insight will not be deceived by his fitnah and by the obscure things that makes of religion. IT is apparent that his paradise with which he entices people is but a hellfire, and his hellfire with which he frightens people is but a paradise. Consequently the Mu’men will choose, without any hesitation, fear or concern, the hellfire of Antichrist and escape from his paradise.

Have you seen this fitnah?! It is the very fitnah of Sheikh Sharif in Somalia; the very fitnah of the Islamic Party in Iraq; and the very fitnah of Sayyaf, Rabbany, and others in Afghanistan. It is the very same fitnah of the Sheikhs of vice and the monks of governments in all countries; and the fitnah of every Imam of those deviating from the right path, who hide within the robe of religion and talk with the evidences of Shari’ah to make them mounts for idols who ride them to serve their infidel acts. This is what makes their hellfire a paradise. Their polytheism becomes a tawheed; their infidelity becomes iman; their falsehood becomes truth, and their deviation from the right path becomes guidance. So the Anitchrist pulls the solid foundations of Islam down with his talbeesing (clothing falsehood with the clothes of truth), and consequently encompasses the disbelievers within a false religion and gathers them under the canopy of the tawheed of nationalists (national unity) instead of the Tawheed of the Messengers. He names their democracy Shura (Islamic counseling); their idols rulers; their enemies from the Mujahedeen and Muahedeen transgressors, – even the takferieen (falsely accusing Muslims of infidelity) and the Khawarij (sectarians)…

Whoever does this paves the way for Antichrist, and his fitnah is similar to the Anitchrist’s fitnah…
